HORSE | SHORE (ETA August 2027)
HORSE | SHORE is a forthcoming book of oil paintings and works on paper. The project pairs statuettes of horses from across cultures and centuries with water-themed figures drawn from open-source image archives. “Horse” and “shore” are anagrams, and their rearrangement becomes a method: letters shift, and meaning shifts with them. Through remix and re-pairing, images are set into new relations. What is the horse to the shore? What is the shore to the horse?
